“The Music Box” is a radio format I created together with Michela Angelini, Mario Monopoli and Michele Balducci, born from the curiosity to explore the concept of “musical synesthesia”. Over the fourteen months the show ran, we interviewed Italian and international artists and music industry professionals such as Post Nebbia, LNDFK, Kuni, Savana Funk, Planet Opal, Ze in The Clouds, Calzeeni, Enrico D'Alessandro of D'Alessandro e Galli, Beautify Junkyards, Saroos, Rares, Guinevere, Staindubatta, Daniela Pes, Nicaragua, Sacrobosco, Studio Murena, Hollyspleef, Bluem, Michele Novak of Dischi Sotterranei, the creators of the Esperpento project, Capofortuna, RIP and Frenesya. Here you can find all the episodes, each dedicated to a specific colour, along with the interviews.

I also handle more technical aspects such as directing, recording, editing and composing original music for podcasts. You can find an example of my working method in the podcast "PUNTO FM ep.1 - Mario Martone" produced by the film criticism website Fata Morgana Web in collaboration with RadioSapienza. The first episode is dedicated to the figure of Italian director Mario Martone and, together with the two hosts Gabriele Guerrieri and Lucrezia Lauteri, features university professors Roberto De Gaetano, Francesco Ceraolo and Bruno Roberti.

In 2016 I founded the psychedelic rock band Lunokhod, with which I recorded the LP “Paper Tiger / Atomic Teeth”, a sonic journey retracing the main stages of the Cold War. With the other members of the band I also created the soundtrack for Giacomo Tazzini's debut short film, which also gave rise to the EP “Nail Polish”. My path as a film composer continued with the original music for “L'Odore del Vento”, by Versilia-based director Tommaso Banti. Together with Lorenzo Pellegrinetti I experimented with new electronic approaches, also producing a self-released album of the same name.

After winning an award for young critics at the Pesaro New Cinema Festival, I began writing reviews and critical essays for Cinemonitor.it. Since then I have written around fifty articles for the outlet, also curating an original column titled “Sound&Vision” in which I analyze the relationship between music and image across countless national and international media works. I have also served as a juror for the short film competition of the Lucca Film Festival and for two years I have been a correspondent for RadioSapienza at the Rome Film Festival.

During my university studies, moreover, I dedicated both of my theses to the seventh art: in the first I analyzed the theme of social control in postmodern cinema and television series, while for my master's I studied how Jim Jarmusch uses music to create his highly personal directorial style.

I took my first steps as a music journalist with RadioSapienza, through which I covered Spring Attitude 2022 and the Rome concerts of Alfa Mist, LNDFK, Alex Braga and Paolo Angeli. A year later, I joined the renowned website Sentireascoltare, for which I produced reviews of national and international albums, music news and live reports of performances by artists of the calibre of Bon Iver, Plaid and Porcupine Tree, as well as Thurston Moore, Caterina Barbieri and Ben Frost. Through the outlet I took part in — and reported on — major national festivals such as La Prima Estate, the Rome Summer Fest, the Roma Europa Festival and Spring Attitude. In addition, over these years as a freelancer I have had the chance to interview international artists of the calibre of Brian Eno, Notwist, PARISI, Daniel Blumberg, Miles Kane, bdrmm, Andrea Laszlo De Simone and Puma Blue.
